On behalf of the Tournament Committee, the host clubs, METROsquash and our sponsors, welcome you to the 2012 METROsquash Windy City Open presented by BMO Harris Bank. If you are registered as a patron or player, please read all the important information below to insure a great time at the event.  A special thanks to BMO Harris Bank as well as the corporate sponsors, patrons and volunteers who help make the tournament possible.    

 

  • REGISTRATION:  You must check in at University Club on the 11th floor before your first match to pick up your match ball and event information.
  •  Match Balls—At registration, each player will receive a new ball and T shirt.  Please bring the ball to your match. The player who wins the match keeps the new ball and takes it to his next match. The match loser takes the used ball for the following consolation matches.
  •  We have nearly 300 matches scheduled, so please be on time. Click on the schedule of events link at www.windycityopen.com for a complete schedule of events.
  • Draws posted at the University Club are masters; if your starting time changes for your first match we will contact you. After the first round, please double check your match times at the University Club or with an on site tournament staff member at any of the clubs.
  • Consolation matches are already scheduled, YOU MUST notify the on site director after your match and let them know whether or not you'll play in the consolation draw.
  •  Remember, eyewear is mandatory and match losers are required to referee the next match.   The 15 min default rule is in effect.
  • It is a tournament rule that the loser of the match referee the following match. As a courtesy to your fellow players, please allow time to referee the next match in your schedule in case you lose.
  • Dress Code at the University Club: Monday – Thursday the Club has a no-denim and no athletic gear in the front of the house policy. Please respect this rule.
  • Seating for Pro matches is limited to corporate sponsors and patrons only. Due to our limited gallery seating there are no single-day tickets available.
  • Hospitality: There is plenty of complimentary Corona and Gatorade for you throughout the event. All players, patrons and sponsors need to RSVP for the Saturday dinner at the University Club at 7:00 p.m.  The dinner fee is $75 if you register by Wednesday, February 1; $100 after that date. The fee includes beer, house wine, tax and tip.  Patrons’ dinner fee is included in their patron package.

Cardio and Squash Center at the Club

The Club’s new addition includes a cardio workout center and state of the art squash facility. The addition of a regulation doubles court and four singles courts in the same space allows for extensive multi-level programming with additional interactive social events.
